Australian United Timbers

The State of the Market

There is no point in denying that the recent world wide events both in the share and banking markets have affected our businesses. Our sales have remained better than I would of thought which has been reassuring but it will be the first six months of next year which will be the “litmus test”. Traditionally this time of year is our busy season and has not let us down but if the economy falters early next year we will be placed in the same boat as other manufactures which are already experiencing a general drop off in sales.

Cherrypine

Most of our NSW customers have now seen samples of “Cherrypine”. We feel that we now have the colour right and are ready to start treating this exciting new product. We have received orders in the past week and Im sure that once consumers see our product out there, this product will take off. As a matter of interest, our chemical/colour supplier advises that this product is now achieving 20% of all landscaping sales in the United States since its release in January of this year. These results have reassured me that Cherrypine has a bright future here in Australia and our customers will have a point of difference with their competitors.

Footy Tipping Competition

Congratulations to our winners:

1st: Berry Rural Co-Op
Equal 2nd: Chris Fitzgerald of Kibblers Mitre 10 and Kim Barlow

The tipping competition proved to be successful again this year with lots of anticipated tipping towards the end of the season.
