Australian United Timbers
Spring and the rain has finally arrived... The countryside around Burraga is the best I have seen it in years. The grass is growing so fast that I can just about hear it.
Hopefully with the (GFC) Global Financial Crisis, an election and winter behind us we will experience strong sales in the lead up to Christmas.
Our sales for the past three months are a marked improvement on the previous three however not quite as good as in previous years. I believe that we are still lacking some consumer confidence; with all our troubles behind us, and if we receive good economic news both nationally and internationally, things will continue to improve.
Cherrypine
By now most of you will have received your initial pack of Cherrypine colour impregnated timber. We are pleased with its progress in the market with both inquiries and sales continuing to improve. I believe that the more product we get into peoples’ back yards the more that it will sell.
We are presently investigating advertising on the side of taut liner trucks with the Cherrypine images to further promote the product.
NATUREWOOD® ACQ®
Our ACQ® sales are continuing to
increase. It appears that most of the sales are coming
from Government Departments including local Councils, Schools and National Parks. Our customers who have targeted these institutions in their area appear to have had little competition, as not all of our competitors mills are able to supply this product.
Congratulations 2010 Footy Tipping Winners
This years contest was won by Marshall’s Timbers of Cardiff with second & third prize shared between Rod Shiels and nine year old Ike Dean.
We thank you for your participation and on a personal note, I am pleased to advise that I finished in front of Kim and am still waiting to collect my side bet of eight bags of lollies.
